SIF has a vision of a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity. We at SIF make sincere and dedicated efforts to bring about a lasting change in the lives of socially and economically vulnerable populations. In order to achieve this goal, we organize skill development programs to enhance employability skills and employment opportunities. We target youth in the age of 18 to 30 years and our training programs are market-oriented and industry specific. Thousands of unemployed youths greatly benefited from our capacity-building programs over the years.
SIF closely works with the State Governments, National Academy of Construction (NAC), industrial houses, security agencies and other training institutions to implement its strategies of assisting unemployed youth and women in securing jobs in semi-skilled and skilled professions like housekeeping, office boys, security guards, ITI, supervisors, electricians, plumbers, masons, etc… We made concerted efforts in ensuring that the needs and aspirations of unemployed youth are heard in policy making discussions at state and national level forums. We also work towards advocacy to ensure governments and institutions implement policies and programs that address social inequality and economic deprivation.
3000 individuals (youth, women, differently abled) from marginalized sections of the community took part in our skill training programs and several individuals secured jobs as masons, security guards, plumbers, electricians, factory workers, construction workers, office assistants, etc.
